In the context of their 45th anniversary, the Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo launched #TeBuscoDesde, a campaign inviting people to share photos, audios, videos and drawings on social media that answer "where, how, when, with whom and why" they are looking for the grandchildren appropriated during the last dictatorship.
With the hashtags #TeBuscoDesde (I've been looking for you since...), #Abuelas45Años and #LaBusquedaContinua, the organisation invites the community to download posters and put them on the walls of cultural centres, clubs, schools and institutions.
In addition, for years Abuelas has been promoting the campaign "Argentina te busca" (Argentina is looking for you), which aims to expand the search and take it to an international level. It also seeks to promote the right to identity in general terms, not only in connection with State terrorism.
The campaign was launched in October 2021 and relaunched in March this year by the Human Rights Bureau, in coordination with the Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo Association, the CONADI, the Foreign Ministry and the National Bank of Genetic Data.
The #ArgentinaTeBusca campaign is aimed at women and men born between 1975 and 1983 who have doubts about their identity, and at the general public who can contribute information to the search for the missing grandchildren.
Those who have doubts about their origin can call 0800-222- CONADI (266234).
