Argentina won the Pan American Women's Volleyball Cup for the first time in Puerto Rico.
The "Panthers", as the team is nicknamed, beat the local team 3-2 in the final, with partial scores of 25-17, 25-22, 23-25, 19,25 and 15-6.
In the championship, the Albiceleste had five wins and two defeats.
In the group stage, they beat Mexico before losing to Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
They then bounced back with victories over Chile and Canada, a semi-final win over the USA and a rematch in the final against the Puerto Ricans.
