The INDEC statistics agency reported the number of inhabitants of Argentina.

According to provisional data from last May census, 46 million 44 thousand 703 people live in the country.

This was announced this Tuesday by the head of the agency, Marco Lavagna.

According to the same survey, 51.76% of this total are women and 48.22% are men.

The census also revealed that there are 17 million 805 thousand 711 homes in Argentina.

Lavagna also pointed out that more than 55% of poll-takers answered the questionnaire through the Internet, which exceeded expectations.
