The Federal Government announced that it will denounce company EDESUR, one of the energy distributors for the Buenos Aires area.
This is due to the successive power cuts that have been affecting thousands of users, in some cases for more than 10 days.
This was announced by official spokesperson Gabriela Cerruti, who revealed that the withdrawal of EDESUR's concession is being analyzed.
She detailed that the company will be denounced for "misappropriation of funds, fraud to the detriment of the public administration and abandonment of person".
In any case, Cerruti did not confirm that the state will take over the operation.
Until yesterday there were almost 70,000 people in the dark in the area of the capital.
Outages come amid an extensive heat wave in much of Argentina, which led to record levels of energy consumption.
